Affectionately referred to as Juli’s Kids, the charity’s mission is to motivate, strengthen, enrich the quality of life of today’s abused, abandoned, neglected, bullied and homeless children and teens who have been placed in the foster care system. Many have been rescued from abusive and neglectful homes and placed in emergency child protective services, group homes or with compassionate foster care parents. Most are waiting to be adopted into loving and caring “forever” families. All need our help!

Gridiron XIX offers football fans of all ages and levels of interest a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the Best of Both Worlds - their favorite football heroes playing in a competitive game of basketball alongside fun, safe, indoor sports-themed contests.

This incomparable hoops event debuted at Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami and now it is taking its talents to H-Town. Since its inception, the game has grown into a distinctive, integral and signature component of Super Bowl weekend. It continues to be the famed weekend’s premier all-star charity-basketball game that captures the sights, sounds and action of the many different facets of the NFL.

Each year Juli’s Kids selects an organization in the Super Bowl host city that serves the city’s abused and neglected children and invites them to have a complimentary VIP experience. This year Juli’s Kids has selected Texas Department of Child and Protective Services (Greater Houston Division). Over the years Gridiron Celebrity Hoops has given away over 20,000 free tickets to the event where the youth are treated as the real MVPs. The organization has raised over $700,000 to assist many other organizations and programs that share Juli’s Kids’ mission to raise awareness of the child abuse epidemic and enhance the day-to-day living of these extraordinary youth in crisis who are facing many tough issues and life struggles. Gridiron Celebrity Hoops has provided over 1.2 million hours of volunteer, hands-on service to foster care programs, Departments of Child and Family Services, neighborhoods, and communities around the Nation.
